FIELD TRIP: LEGOLAND

 #1 Milos Journey (for the younger ones)
 Experience Name: Milo’s Journey
Character Name: Engineer Erin

The space race is back on…only this time it's to be the first to discover life on another planet.
LEGO® Base's newest employee, Erin, an ambitious aerospace engineer, has created a planetary
rover named Milo after countless hours of effort. Now a huge success, LEGO® Base is ready to
mass-produce Milo and launch him into space before rival companies.
As our new interns, you must assist Erin by building and programming more Milos using the
LEGO® Education WeDo 2.0 set to journey where no one has gone before!​
 
In this experience guests can expect:
· Learning about basic computer programming and building a space faring robot.
· Building a robot out of LEGO Brick and programming it to complete various basic tasks.
· Experience based on the WEDO 2.0 set.
· A computer will be utilized in this experience along with building with LEGO Brick. 


#2 Asteroid Impact (for the older ones) 5th grade +

Character Name: Commander Block
GRADES​ 5 – 6+ ​​
 
After a disastrous meteor shower, LEGO® Base's newest cadets must learn to pilot their very own
LEGO® MINDSTORMS® Education EV3 robot, named Astro Bot, and save the nearby space station!
Don't worry… Commander Block has plenty of experience and is the best in the business with our
repair drones. However, in order to operate these amazing robots, the commander must guide his
new cadets to use the metric system and discover how to use angles. Will the cadets be brave
enough to help save the space station from exiting Earth's orbit?​
 
In this experience guests can expect:
· Learning about basic computer programming and measuring distances and angles while learning about space and robotics.
· Utilizing a prebuilt robot to complete various simple and complex tasks and objectives by programming it's movements.
· Experience based on the Education Mindstorms EV3 set.
· A computer will be utilized in this experience.

We will meet in front of Legoland at 9:15 


Lunch: 12:00 You may choose to bring your lunches (we will bring a cooler to store lunches)
and eat at the Imagination Pavilion located in the rear of the park near Cypress Gardens.
Please make sure lunches coolers are clearly labeled with the group name.
